This position is part of Cargill's AgHorizons business unit, which serves farm customers in the United States by providing products and services including grain origination and storage, grain marketing resources and advice, crop input products such as seed and fertilizer, agronomic advice and information services. We are looking for a Production Supervisor for our O'Neill, NE facility, a shuttle-loading grain elevator location.

This position manages facility operations and personnel to maximize efficiencies, operate within applicable government regulations and Cargill policy, and assists in identifying and developing customer solutions and service.

Principal Accountabilities:

40% Coaching, development, training and management support to the operations team, including 6 employees, within the facility such that the goals of the organization are achieved. Oversee employee issues and concerns. Ensure employee engagement.
30% Management of all aspects of regulatory and Cargill compliance programs, including environmental, safety, quality, maintenance, and
housekeeping. Coordinate and assign safety training and activities. Manage contractor control program. Manage expenses for facility R&M and
capital improvements. Maintain RCI safety program.
30% Working closely with the Farm Service Center (FSC) Leader, the grain origination specialist, and administration team to ensure facility expenses and efficiencies are achieved. Manage grain and logistics related issues, which includes communication with railroad, state inspection agency.


Requirements

Required:

4 year post-secondary education equivalent experience
Grain or agricultural experience

At least a year of personnel management experience
Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to influence decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to administer and manage an effective and proactive EH&S program.
Knowledge of government regulations.
Ability to work 12-14 hr. days as needed during 4 month harvest period of June, August, September, October.

Mechanical ability.
Operating efficiency and expense management skills.
Experience with Reliability Maintenance
