This position is part of Cargill's AgHorizons business unit, which serves farm customers in the United States by providing products and services including grain origination and storage, grain marketing resources and advice, crop input products such as seed and fertilizer, agronomic advice and information services. We are seeking a Farm Service Center Manager for our Minden, NE facility.

The Motala facility is approximately 15 miles south of Kearney, NE located 4 miles west of Minden, NE. The facility is a grain elevator with 4 million bushels of space and loads BNSF 110 car shuttle trains.

The Farm Service Center (FSC) Manager has overall leadership responsibility for operations and personnel at a grain elevator facility to maximize efficiencies, operate within applicable government regulations and Cargill policy, and assist in identifying and developing customer solutions and service.
Principal Accountabilities:
40% Accountability for the leadership of facility employees. This involves coaching, engaging, developing, and providing management support to the operations employees within the facility such that the goals of the organization are achieved.
30% Accountability for EH&S and other regulatory compliance at the facility. Management of all aspects of governmental and Cargill compliance programs at the facility, including environmental, health, safety, quality, maintenance, and housekeeping. Ensure all personnel are aware of, and compliant with, processes and policies.
30% Accountability for efficient and profitable operations. Work closely with the Farm Service Group crop inputs team, grain origination manager, operations leader, and administration team to ensure facility expenses and efficiencies are achieved. Identify and implement process improvements.


Requirements

Required:

* 4 year post-secondary education or equivalent experience

* At least two years experience in facility and personnel management

* Must be able and willing to work from heights (i.e. ladders, catwalks, etc.) and in an indoor/outdoor and dusty environment

* Strong leadership and organizational skills

* Strong communication and listening skills

* Ability to influence decision-making

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills

* Ability to administer and manage an effective and proactive EH&S program

* Knowledge of government regulations

Wants:

* Ability to work effectively within a team

* Capable of delivering innovation

* Inventory management skills

* Experience with electrical and programmable controllers strongly preferred

* Mechanical ability and maintenance experience

* Operating efficiency and expense management skills
